Habitat for Humanity includes 21 Plus in the 2012 "Brush with Kindness" events. St. Joseph’s and St. Barnabas’ Youth Groups visited 7 of our Residential Sites. We especially thank the members of these groups for their time and commitment to sprucing up our homes.

The work focused on exterior maintenance, and included power washing, sanding and painting various areas and items: sheds, porches, decks, picnic tables, ramps, railings and steps. The volunteers also cleaned up the flower beds and grounds by trimming bushes, weeding, raking, mulching, and planting flowers.

An excerpt from a letter sent by Peggy Burger, ABWK Program Coordinator, Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity: “It is with great pride that we spend this time working to improve the quality of life that Twenty-One Plus group homes provide for their residents. We are proud of our partnership and look forward to continuing the partnership in the coming years.”

We thank all of the volunteers who worked so hard. And a special “thank you” to Peggy Burger for all her hard work in coordinating the event.
