Sarah, one of our residents at 21 Plus, won the New Jersey Association of Community Provider’s Star Award for her achievements over the years. People describe Sarah as considerate, responsible, and patient. These qualities are what make her remarkable.

Sarah has enjoyed many new experiences as a 21 Plus resident. Some of these include a visit to the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame and Graceland, as she is an avid Elvis fan. She enjoyed camping and amusement parks, which in the past would have been difficult ventures for her. With the assistance of staff, Sarah began to challenge her fear of water by slowly working her way into the shallow pool. She really seemed to enjoy every new challenge.

Sarah has experienced so many changes throughout the nearly 30 years of living at 21 Plus. She has the ability to adjust to new situations faster now than ever before. Because of this amazing change, so many doors have opened and will continue to open for her as she follows her journey. Sarah Garofalo is a Community Star and deserves this award!

She received her award at a dinner in Princeton, on March 25, 2011 with friends present to help celebrate.

21 Plus is Proud of Sarah’s Success!
